The album includes 'Wait a Minute My Girl,' which became their 9th 1 single on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, and. On it, the band took their signature heavy metal, psychobilly, and 'punk n' roll' sound up a notch while showcasing their keen songwriting and storytelling. BTW it would be impossible for me to follow Volbeat since the beginning considering that when they formed I was still growing inside my mom's belly, but my dad started listening to them between their debut and sorfmore album so I also started listening to them at that point me and my dad saw them live doing their Outlaw Gentleman ture it was the first time I saw bands play live it was amazing!! To the point about them probably burning out if they didn't switch up their sound I actually think that is what is happening now they're burning out cuz they need a break and apparently a longer break then a year and a half. Volbeat's 8th studio album, Servant of the Mind, is out December 3. They have had tracks that switched it up in the past but it was still a Volbeat song for example Room 24 or 7 Shots or Evelyn, these are all perfect examples of chasing things up and still sounding like Volbeat I will even say that parts of RRR still sounds like Volbeat for example The Everlasting and Die To Live. There are plenty of other songs to listen to that I do like. But whatever, that's not Michael's fault. Volbeat have shared their new song Becoming the latest offering from their forthcoming. I don't write the same way, play the same way, listen to the same music regularly. I'm not the same person I was 20 years ago. Its still a business too, and if they want to continue they had better find a way to grow ($$) their audience, but also grow up with their audience. A band and its members need to grow and change or risk getting stale and losing touch, or even worse, burned out. I'm glad he isn't just sitting back recycling the same stuff or trying to recreate his youth. A musician that doesn't grow or change is a boring one IMO.
